What this solves
"How much does it cost to trek in Yading?" is the most-Googled question about this route, and most answers are wrong by 50–100%. Park entry is ¥150 (off-season) or ¥220 (peak), the shuttle bus is another ¥120, and the rest — accommodation, food, guide, porter, transport — varies wildly by party size and style. This tool pulls all 14 lines into one table, with 2024–2025 verified prices for three tiers. It will not surprise you with hidden costs — that's a separate tool.

How to read the result
Per-person totals assume the party of your input size. Larger parties pay the same in guides + transfer but less per-person in shared equipment — the economy of scale is real.
Tier is a starting point. You can mix: camp on the trail (Budget), lodge at Yading village (Comfort), which produces a "mixed" budget in real life.
Food on trail is the most variable — ¥80/day if you carry all food, ¥200/day if you eat at lodges. We use the latter for Standard and ¥120/day for Budget.
Hidden costs (oxygen surcharges, satellite-phone SIM card fees, yak-damage insurance) are not included here. See the Hidden-Cost Radar tool for those.

FAQ
A: Park entry, shuttle, and most Daocheng-town lodges take WeChat Pay and Alipay. Cash (CNY) is still expected at remote herder guesthouses and small camp stores. Bring ¥1,500–2,000 in small notes for those.
A: Not a strong tradition in China, but appreciated. ¥200–400 per guide for the trip is generous; ¥100 is fine. Tip porter less (¥100). Avoid the foreign-style 18% — locals are unfamiliar with that.
A: Switch to the Budget tier plus "own tent". You can drop to ¥1,200–1,800 / person for 4 days. The catch: above 4,000 m you may not find a legal pitch — and at Chonggu Monastery area camping is restricted.
A: In shoulder season, yes — 10–20% is fair. In peak season (Jun–Sep) and Losar, prices are fixed. Always ask the rate for the exact route; some operators price by day, some by the whole trip.
